The English version of the 1912 Mordkhe Rivesman’s Yiddish song “Oy Chanukah”.

Notes: “Sivivon” is a Hebrew word meaning dreidel, the four sided top traditionally played with during Chanukah (aka Hanukkah), the Festival of Lights. The holiday lasts eight days with the number of candles lit for the number of the festival day, plus the shamash, which is a candle used to light the other candles. Jewish holidays are counted from sundown to sundown.
